Objectives

Through this lesson students can develop an understanding of who is the one true God and the person and work of the first person of the Trinity. That it is God who creates, provides, and defends us.

Students will memorize Luther’s explanation to the 1st article.

Given Luther’s Small Catechism and Scripture references students will know the three Lutheran “Sola’s”.

Given Luther’s Small Catechism and Scripture references, students will know the works of God the Father by listing them.

Given class discussion and Scripture references, will compare and contrast statements of science in the Bible with known scientific facts.

Given Luther’s Small Catechism and Scripture references, students will know a short definition of the Christian faith.
