Objectives

Students can come to understand the nature of Holy Communion and the benefits given to us through this sacrament.

Given Scriptural references, Luther’s Small Catechism, and class discussion, students will know what the visible elements in Communion by naming them.

Given Scriptural references and class discussion, students will know the setting in which Jesus established Holy Communion by describing the reason of the festival they were celebrating.

Given Scriptural references, Luther’s Small Catechism, and class discussion, students will know that Christ body and blood is really present in the sacrament of Communion.

Given Scriptural references, Luther’s Small Catechism, and class discussion, students will know the benefits of Communion by stating them.
