Facility Guidelines

1. The purpose of the facility and resources of Christ Lutheran Church (CLC) to is to aid us in fulfilling God’s plan. The mission of the church was given to us in Matthew 28:19-20. Therefore we have a Christ centered mission. Our mission includes evangelism, discipleship, fellowship, ministry, and worship. Those activities or groups that we feel are detrimental to this mission will be denied access to CLC resources for their use.

2. When problems arise, we will deal with them, to the best of our abilities, in Christian love. (Matt 18:15-17)

3. CLC members are free to use the facility in their role as members of the priesthood of all believers (1Peter 2:9). However, availability of CLC facilities and resources are dependent upon the coordination with DCE Curtis (266-6263) or with other concurrent activities.

4. Outside groups are restricted to prearranged resources. (Time schedule, room assignments, A/V equipment, Kitchen, etc.).

5. The scheduling and use of CLC resources is dependent on their availability, purpose of the activity, and the comfort level of the CLC staff with the sponsoring group.

5.1. All who seek the use of CLC resources must coordinate their actives with DCE Curtis (266-6263). Required information includes purpose of the activity/event, resource requirements, (to include a time frame) and contact information. It is vital that contact information is recorded so that arrangements can be made when problems arise.

5.2 Outside groups are required to complete a Facility Usage Request Application. Applications will be maintained by CLC Office.

6. Facility user responsibilities:

6.1. Users are responsible for maintaining adequate supervision of activity/event participants to ensure the safety of all.

6.2. Alcohol, smoking, or gambling is strictly prohibited.

6.3. Users are responsible for returning the facility to pre-use condition. (Floors swept and equipment put away as necessary.)

6.4. Users will secure their area after use.

6.5. Users will abide by posted exit procedures for securing CLC facilities.

7. A Lost and Found will be maintained. Items that have not been reclaimed within 90 days are subject to disposal. The church staff will use its discretion concerning the manner of final disposal of any item in the Lost and Found.
