Who We Are

“In grateful response to God’s grace, we witness to the Good News of salvation through Christ, we share the mercy of Christ in our community, and we share the love of Christ in our life together through word and sacrament.”

Explanation

These phrases—Witness, Mercy, Life Together—illustrate how the people of Christ Lutheran Church live and work together to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our congregation, in our community and throughout the world. In all we do, Christ is at the center, leading us, sustaining us, and keeping us focused on our mission.

Witness

"For there are three that testify: the Spirit and the water and the blood; and these three agree." 1 John 5:7-8

Mercy

“For even the Son of Man came not to be served but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many.”– Mark 10:45

Life Together

“God is faithful, by whom you were called into the fellowship of his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.”– 1 Corinthians 1:9

OUR DENOMINATION:

Blue-cross-transparent.png

The basic teaching that defines our church and the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod is the good news that Jesus is the Savior of the world. He gave his life on the cross to pay the penalty of our sins and then rose again. Through faith in Jesus we have the gift of forgiveness of our sins and eternal life in heaven. We do not earn any part of this gift. Even the faith we have in Jesus is a gift of God.
